F1080C PRODUCT MANAGER - Specialty Chemicals: Surface Treatment/Metalworking

$120K To $150k with a 10% bonus. New Jersey.

DESCRIPTION: The primary function of the Product Manager is to develop and implement a technology driven marketing plan for the respective product line(s) in North America. The marketing plan should include short and long term goals and objectives and the strategy and action plan to meet these goals. Open to relocation.

DUTIES: Development of a technology driven marketing plan

Establish yearly budget and forecast out three years

Develop a strategy to meet financial budget and other goals

Establish a marketing expense budget for plan

Maintain competitive information/situation data

Track market/economic activity

Evaluate potential new markets and develop plan to exploit opportunities

Coordinate customer corporate strategy and pricing

Evaluate current customer base and segments

Communicate the plan to the organization and implement strategy

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Continuously manage product line using product life cycle evaluations

Coordinate, develop, and promote new products/prices to meet market needs

Coordinate roll-out of our technology where/when applicable

Monitor current product line to maintain its competitiveness in the marketplace

Continuously rationalize product line to ensure it is current

Advertising and Product Literature

Ensure there are updated technical information sheets, process instructions and literature on existing product line

Develop and implement an advertising strategy to include trade journal ads and new releases, product literature, trade shows, trade association membership and other promotional formats

Develop sales tools to aid the sales team to promote and present the organization, specific product/processes and organizational/marketing unit direction and mission

MARKET

Track market trends and economic activity, Maintain competitive information

Establish and maintain standard pricing structure

Work with Presidents & Industry Managers to recommend off-list pricing When Required

REQUIREMENTS: B.S. Degree in Chemistry, business and/or marketing required

Industrial product marketing experience (5-8 years)

***A MUST: PRODUCT MANAGEMENT Experience with the Surface Treatment, Metalworking market, SPECIFICALLY, Aluminum and Steel Cleaners ***

Ability to make presentations and proposals

Well organized with business and management skills

Computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and data base development

Good verbal, written and analytical skills

20% travel / Ability to relocate

SENIORITY LEVEL: Mid-Senior level
