The COO, Universities North America will report to the CEO Universities Worldwide and will have full P&L responsibility for one of the North American regions (Northeast, South and West/Midwest) and all in excess of $500M in revenue and has the potential to grow significantly under the leadership of the new COO. The COO will establish strong relationship with top clients to secure retention of the business and at the same time drive numerous untapped opportunities of growth within existing clients. This is a human-capital intensive business with decentralized teams working on client sites. The COO has to be a role model in Safety - driving strong safety performance underpinned by creating a culture of care across the organization. Leading a talented and diverse team of 30,000 employees, the COO will bring strong leadership skills and a proven ability to energize others. Will be accountable for developing talent for the future and supporting the continued leadership development of our site managers. Finally, a key priority will be to actively improve profit margins through rigorous performance management, and a focus on cost control to optimize raw material and the broader managerial skills of her/his managers. Build strong relationships with clients' decision makers, participate in forums and/or develop special client events as needed to role model retention effort. Create and articulate an inspiring vision to increase the value for our clients and develop the business opportunities both in Food and Facilities Management services. Support the deployment of new programs to develop retail opportunities for existing consumers as well as to increase the consumer base on campus. Develop a robust client life cycle management with the retention teams reporting to her/him and in collaboration with other corporate teams. Ensure her/his operational teams support the sales teams' efforts by strengthening our Brand in her/his region with reference sites capable to attract new clients. Anchoring the fundamentals of rigorous management of the middle of the page to increase margins:. Ensure the continued success of the \"DRIVE\" program that will deliver food cost optimization across the business. Continue and accelerate the usage of new personnel management tools to increase agile people scheduling to optimize labor cost and make it capable to adjust to constant demand evolution. Developing talent in her/his NorAm Region and ensuring talent pipelines provide succession candidates for all key NorAm Region positions. Enthusiastically attract and recruit top talent to strengthen teams. Actively manage performance through continuous coaching and feedback - taking courageous difficult decisions when needed. Drive employee engagement by defining and implementing initiatives based on deep insights of the team members. Support of the Brand and Corporate efforts:. Ensure the business in your region is carried out in compliance with all established standards and company policies. Engage and work in cooperation with the Universities Global Leadership team in order to build an organization that will deliver the plan and longer-term strategy. Work with the other CEO in order to achieve a full and seamless integration of our teams and clients. Champion and ensure the Implementation of all operational end-to-end processes and standard operating procedures.. Support and enable the global communication strategy in the NorAm Region and develop a communication plan. Lead your region in through consistent personal role-modeling of behaviors aligned with the company values, ethical principles and behaviors. Contribute to company-wide efficiency and effectiveness across the NorAm Region, working collaboratively and providing input on cross-organization topics to enable decision-making and avoid escalation. Support the identification and realization of synergies across the North America Region, and prevent the emergence of organizational 'silos'. Candidate Profile.
